The official entertainment line-up for this year’s Mt. Vernon Fall Fest has been set.

Friday night will begin at 5:15 p.m. with the St. Louis band, Big Rain. Big Rain focuses on new music from pop, rock, indie, and alternative genres. They cover music from One Republic, Imagine Dragons, Pharrell, Gavin Degraw, Fitz and the Tantrums, Maroon 5, and more.

Platinum Rock Legends (PRL) of St. Louis will then take the stage at 8pm. PRL is the ultimate rock tribute band, now touring nationwide. They impersonate favorite legends including Journey, Bon Jovi, Queen, and even boy bands like Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync.

Saturday evening will open with local Southern Illinois band, U-Foria, at 6:15 p.m. They feature former Mt. Vernon resident, Miranda Joy Willmore on vocals. Currently touring the United States, U-Foria focuses on country, rock, blues, original, and cover songs.

Saturday night’s “Illinois Proud” Fall Fest headliner, at 8:15 p.m., will feature Rockford, IL native and rising country music star, Mo Pitney. Pitney has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Lake Shake festival in Chicago, and most recently, the Country to Country festival in London.

Blues Day returns on Sunday, September 30th, beginning at 11 a.m. with Southern Illinois blues trio, Cat Daddy’O. They feature a thundering rhythm section with an old-school rhythm and blues style.

At 1:15 p.m., Al Holliday & the East Side Rhythm Band will take the stage. Their soul music is described as more Mississippi River and less New York City.

Marquise Knox will close out the festival at 3:15 p.m. Sunday. This young, St. Louis native blues talents have allowed him to perform with blues legends like B.B. King, Pinetop Perkins, and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.
