Many people gathered at the Jefferson County Courthouse Wednesday morning for a presentation of a high-quality photo of Abraham Lincoln taken in 1860. The installation has been made possible by the Illinois Judges and State Bar Associations and their respective foundations.

Jefferson County Presiding Judge Jo Beth Weber says to this day, Lincoln represents the qualities all those involved in law enforcement and the justice system should  have.

The presentation is a part of a larger effort by the Illinois State Historical Society to get the photo in each of Illinois’ 102 county courthouses.
