A 21-year-old resident of a Centralia home that has been the target of gunfire in recent weeks has been arrested on weapons charges following a Wednesday night traffic stop.

Micah Williams, of the 800 block of Hausler Street was stopped by Centralia police Wednesday night for allegedly being unlicensed for more than a year.

A subsequent search of his vehicle reportedly revealed a .22 caliber revolver under the driver’s seat.

Williams was then arrested for alleged unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm without a FOID card.

Police reportedly identified Williams in a video featuring two men holding guns.

It’s unclear at this time if the video had a role in multiple incidents in the last two weeks of shots being fired near and at Williams’ home.

Two juvenile males have recently been arrested in connection with separate shots fired calls on Hausler.

Centralia Police Chief Brian Atchison recently said he had increased patrol coverage in that neighborhood. No other incidents of gunshots in that area have been reported since Monday.
