MT. VERNON — Local school districts are preparing for a new school year that will start next month for students. The Mt. Vernon Township High School district is starting that year with a new superintendent.

Jeff Fritchtnitch has assumed the superintendent’s role at Mt. Vernon Township High School after 10 years in the same role in the Altamont School District. He says it’s important to keep all of the school districts that feed into the high school on the same page for each student’s education.

You can hear the full interview with Fritchtnitch on the Southern Illinois Insider coming up this Sunday at 11 a.m. on WMIX AM 940, 96.5 FM and also on 94.1 FM.
