Bail was set at $2,500 for a 40-year-old Salem man arrested Wednesday night after shooting a firearm into the air.

Gary Garick was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail after a neighbor called Salem PD after reportedly witnessing Garick fire a pistol into the air from the back door of his South Pruyn home.

Garick was arrested for alleged discharge of a firearm and was formally charged in court Thursday with the class Class 4 felony.
He’s next due in court July 31 for a status hearing.
