CENTRALIA — A 34-year-old Chicago woman was arrested Saturday after Centralia police responded to a medical alarm at a home in the 1100 block of McKee Street.

The alarm was reportedly pressed after Eartricca Johnson allegedly pushed and threatened a woman over the age of 60 who was sitting outside her Centralia home.

Johnson was arrested for alleged aggravated battery and aggravated assault, interfering with a 911 call, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was additionally charged with resisting arrest after allegedly becoming uncooperative with police and threatening multiple times at the police department to burn down the alleged victim’s home.

The incident reportedly began when Johnson allegedly threatened to burn down the woman’s home and then pushed the woman down when she was trying to get up from the steps where she was sitting in front of her home.

Johnson remains in the Marion County Jail, awaiting the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail.
