SALEM — Legislation sponsored by State Representative John Cavaletto (R-Salem), which commemorates the 75thanniversary of the meeting at the Luther B. Easley Post 128 in Salem and establishes each November 4th as ‘G.I. Bill of Rights Day’ in Illinois, was signed into law during ceremonies at the Illinois State Fair Sunday afternoon.

Governor Bruce Rauner signed HB4954 as part of the Veterans Day Program.  Also in attendance was State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) who co-sponsored the legislation in the Illinois House of Representatives.
