MT. VERNON — Mt. Vernon Township High School is in its third year on its new campus on the southwest side of Mt. Vernon. The high school district’s leaders continue to look at ways to improve the new campus, including additions to the athletic facilities.

MVTHS Superintendent Jeff Fritchtnitch says the district is still working on additional on-campus facilities for Ram athletes.

Fritchtnitch, who was once a football player and coach, says athletics are an extension of the classroom and teach other valuable life lessons.

Fritchtnitch says MVTHS athletics and the community have a mutually beneficial relationship, as community support drives continued opportunities for Ram athletes.

You can hear the full interview with Superintendent Fritchtnitch tomorrow on the Saturday Sports Show presented by Crossroads Community Hospital on AM 940 and 96.5 FM, WMIX, and online at WMIXSports.com.
