MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Police Department is looking for two men alleged to have battered and robbed two people walking on Wednesday morning.

Mt. Vernon Police Chief Trent Page says the victims were walking in the area of 13th and Perkins when two men on bikes approached the victims. After a brief conversation, one of the suspects punched one victim several times while the other pulled out a knife and threatened the victims. The two stole one victim’s cell phone and threatened to return to batter the victims again.

The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20-years-old, with blonde hair and a beard. He is said to be about 5’10”, 150 pounds and he was wearing blue jeans, a gray hoodie, and a red ball cap.

The second suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20-years-old, skinny build, and he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
