CENTRALIA — Fire reportedly destroyed a motor home that had become stuck in the mud Saturday in the 1400 block of East Green Street Road.

According to reports, the owners said they were moving the RV out of the mud when it died. When they restarted it, it reportedly backfired and started making a hissing noise. When smoke started coming from the RV the owners called the Centralia Fire Protection District.

The owners had reportedly purchased a new RV and were in the process of moving items from the old vehicle into the new one at the time of the fire. They said the old RV had been having problems for a while and they were preparing to retire the vehicle.
