CENTRALIA — A Saturday morning fire destroyed a vacant mobile home in the 1400 block of South Pine in Centralia.

A neighbor reportedly noticed the fire around 9:30 Saturday morning and called 9-1-1. All available Centralia City firefighters responded to the call and upon their arrival flames were already shooting through the roof.

The mobile home had a large amount of items being stored inside, which made battling the blaze more difficult for firefighters.

As the home was vacant, there were no utilities. The cause of the blaze has not been determined.

Firefighters returned to the scene later in the day to put out smoldering spots that had rekindled.

No injuries were reported.
