Rep. Severin says first veto session was a great learning experience

ILLINOIS (BENTON) — The Illinois House and Senate closed out the fall veto session this week, considering over 130 bills and resolutions.

Following adjournment 117th District State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) said he learned a lot during his first veto session and wanted to take a minute to thank all of those who have helped him get through his first session of the Illinois General Assembly.

The House will reconvene on January 7th for a 2 day lame duck session before the inauguration of new members on January 9th and the first day of session for the 101st Illinois General Assembly on the 10th.
