(Pinckneyville, IL)  —  Charges are being re-filed in connection to the 2010 death of a Southern Illinois teenager. Sidnee Stephens was 15-years old when her body was discovered in a creek near Du Quoin. Murder charges had been dropped in 2013 against Chad Bennett of Pinckneyville because of the refusal of key witnesses to testify, but were restored on Friday. Prison sentences have already been handed out to three other people involved in the girl’s death.
