(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Downtown Mt. Vernon Development Corporation will see new leadership for the first time in 14 years.  Cyndy Mitchell has announced she is stepping aside as the executive director of the organization. As the first full-time director of the DMDC, she saw the organization grow as many downtown buildings were refurbished or renovated during her time at the helm. Her last day is scheduled to be February 6th. A new director will be named at a later date.
