(NASHVILLE, IL) — The Nashville Community High School Board met Monday night. Among items on the agenda, the board approved the repayment of loans to the working cash fund after the receipt of property tax money from the county. Superintendent Ernie Fowler noted that approximately 90 percent of the tax levy from Washington County has come in, which allowed the board to repay the working cash fun in the amount of $50,000 from the IMRF, $170,000 from the Tort Fund, $84,000 from Bond and Interest, as well as $100,000 from the Transportation Fund. The board also set up a fund solely for the FFA Greenhouse project, as quite a lot of donations have come in specifically for that project. NCHS teacher Steve Browne also made a presentation detailing the many extracurricular activities performed by students. Fowler credits the students and staff for putting in the hard work required for so much success. The next meeting is scheduled for February 27.
