(MT. VERNON, IL) — The St. Louis Cardinals may keep player and coaching decisions close to the vest, but Jefferson and Perry County CEO students will hear first-hand how to run the business of a major league baseball organization from one of the most successful organizations in the history of the game.  In April, Jefferson and Perry County CEO students will embark on a day-long series of business visits starting with an early morning visit to the nation’s third largest pork producer, The Maschoff’s.  The day will culminate with a meeting and presentation from the front office of the St. Louis Cardinals.  Bill Dewitt III, President of the St. Louis Cardinals, and his front office administrative staff will talk to the high-school entrepreneur classes about the intricacies of running a major league baseball organization.  The Cardinals business visit will include a tour of facilities and the Cardinals Hall of Fame.  The day will end with a game featuring the Cardinals and the Pirates.
