MARION COUNTY — A federal grand jury has indicted at least one of the 15 people arrested last month in a drug-related warrant sweep in Centralia that was the result of an eight-month investigation into drug trafficking in the area.

Federal authorities have not yet returned calls to confirm the charges listed in the indictment but reports indicate 58-year-old Anthonette Strowder has been federally indicted.

Bail for Strowder was initially set in Marion County Court at $500,000 but 10 days after her arrest Judge Mark Stedelin reduced that bail to $50,000. Strowder posted $5,000 cash bond the next day and was released from the Marion County Jail.

She appeared in court Tuesday on the Marion County charges of Class X felony aggravated delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of methamphetamine from a protected structure and Class 1 felony possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth. She’s next scheduled to appear October 5 for a final pre-trial hearing in that case.

Strowder was arrested June 15 along with Roosevelt “Phil” Cooper-McGee. Bail for

McGee was also initially set at $500,000, with Stedelin reducing that to $200,000.

McGee is now free on $20,000 bond. He’s next due in court September 7 for a final pre-trial hearing on charges of Class X aggravated delivery of between 5-15 grams of meth from a protected structure and Class 2 felony possession of between 5-15 grams of meth.

At the time of his arrest, McGee was free on $10,000 cash bond in an April case charging him with two counts Class 1 aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied building or vehicle and Class 4 felony criminal damage to property.

He has been given permission in both cases to leave the state of Illinois and go to Georgia, with the court securing a waiver of extradition.
