An Anna man has been sentenced to four year in state prison for aggravated criminal sexual abuse – A Class 2 felony.

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler Edmonds says 68-year-old Stewart Everett Gowan will also serve a two year period of mandatory supervised release and must register as a sex offender for life.

Edmonds says Gowan committed an act of sexual conduct with a 14 year old minor in October of last year.

Gowan was arrested in October as part of an investigation by Anna Police.
