The Mt. Vernon Public Utilities Committee says more than 25-million dollars to upgrade the city’s water and sewer infrastructure. That came in a report presented to the city council at Monday’s meeting.
Ray Botch with the Public Utilities Committee told the council the biggest projects the city needs to get done.
No action was taken on any of the listed projects. Botch says funds from the projects would come from multiple sources, including existing infrastructure funds, the yearly utility rate increase, and various loan programs.
