Drug-related charges are pending against a Marion man who was arrested Monday by the Marion Police Department’s Narcotics Unit.
25-year-old Malcolm D. Vuichard was arrested after being identified by police to be a distributor of cannabis and found to be illegally in possession of a firearm and a large amount of cannabis and currency.
A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vinewood Lane and Pickett Lane at 11 Monday morning. Vuichard was arrested for driving while license suspended and also found to be in possession of cannabis.
Upon completion of the traffic stop, detectives responded to Vuichard’s known residence, located in the 1000 block of Kimberly Court. A search of the home revealed approximately 1,700 grams of cannabis, a semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun, weighing equipment and packaging materials. Also seized during the incident was a large sum of cash and Vuichard’s vehicle.
Vuichard was taken to the Williamson County Jail with pending charges of possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver 500 to 2,000 grams, unlawful possession of a firearm and driving while license suspended.
