HAMILTON COUNTY — Two people were arrested on drug charges after a Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy found a suspicious vehicle in the 11500 block of Coal Mine Road around 5:20 Sunday morning.
Sheriff Tracy Lakin says 32-year-old Amanda Scott of Fairfield and 29-year-old James Rasor of McLeansboro are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.
They appeared in front of Judge Vaughan Monday and were advised of their charges. Both are charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, class 3 felony, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, class 4 felony and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, class A misdemeanor. Their preliminary hearings are set for December 20, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. They remain in the White County jail.
