MARION — A Marion woman has been charged by a two-county indictment with distribution of methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
According to a federal indictment, 25-year-old Amy J. Brozowski allegedly committed the offenses on March 7 and 14 of this year in Williamson County.
Brozowski made her initial appearance in federal court Thursday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
At her detention hearing the following day, Brozowski was granted bond. Her jury trial is currently set for May 28, 2019.
The drug offenses carry a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $1 million fine.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group, the Marion Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration. The Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
