CHRISTOPHER, IL — Funeral arrangements have been announced for a Christopher firefighter who lost his life fighting a six alarm commercial fire early Sunday morning in Christopher.

According to Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, the funeral for 24-year-old Kody Michael Vanfossan will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Christopher High School Gym.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Christopher High School Gym with a Firefighter Walkthrough at 7:30 a.m. Visitation will also be on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with a Firefighter Walkthrough at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Christopher.
