CARMI — Two Carmi residents are facing drug charges after Carmi Police pulled them over into the Walmart parking lot on Route 1 around 2:10 Monday afternoon.
Police pulled 40-year-old Matthew R. Curtis over and received information that he had a suspended driver’s license. Curtis was placed under arrest and a search of the immediate area where Curtis was sitting produced a bag with 5.75 grams of crystal and powder meth, 5.55 grams of cannabis, schedule 2 and schedule 3 narcotics pills, Dab and paraphernalia.
Curtis and his passenger, 32-year-old Holly Jo Miller, were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Curtis was also charged with driving while license suspended and unlawful use of property. They were taken to the White County Jail.
