MARION COUNTY — An apparent armed robbery Tuesday afternoon in rural Salem is under investigation.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, they’re investigating after an alleged victim reported giving a man a ride to an unknown residence on Ruble Lane in rural Salem when a female pointed a gun at them and demanded their Xanax.

The alleged victim ultimately left that area and reported the incident to law enforcement when she reached Bell Club Road near Levee Road.

There were no injuries reported.
