MARION COUNTY — The Marion County Treasurer’s Office has announced the mailing of 2019 Real Estate Tax Bills. The total number of bills is down to 34,581 from 34,876 last year.
The Total County Tax Extension for this year is $39,342,038.20 up from $ 38,375,639.20 last year with a Net Taxable value for Real Estate of $ 447,113,473.
There has been a change to the Real Estate bills this year.
1) The due dates are now July 26, 2019 and September 26, 2019
2) The printing process has changed and if you own more than one piece of Property and have the same Name and Address on the bills you will receive Multiple bills in the same envelope.
With this process The Treasurer’s office was able to reduce the number of pieces of mail by 40% and saving just under $7,000.00 in postage fees.
Payments can be made by Mail, at Local Banks & Credit Unions or the Drop box west side of courthouse.
If payers using Online bill pay from your checking account please including property number with your payment. Credit card payments can be made at Marionil.Devnetwedge.com under County Pay Taxes Tab.
The Treasurer’s Office at the Courthouse is open from 8am to 4pm Monday- Friday to receive payments. If for some reason you do not receive your bill call the Treasurer’s office at 548-3858.
