JEFFERSON COUNTY — The most wonderful time of the year is approaching for 4-H kids across Illinois. County fair season means 4-H participants across the state will show off what they’ve learned with the projects they have worked on for the last year.

In Jefferson County, the 4-H Show kicks off with the Horse Show at King City Saddle Club at 1 p.m. on July 7th. The majority of the shows will take place over the days of the Jefferson County Fair between July 20th and 24th.

Ramona Girtman with the Jefferson County Extension Office says these kids are showing what the future of Jefferson County looks like right now.
