JEFFERSON COUNTY — The most wonderful time of the year is approaching for 4-H kids across Illinois. County fair season means 4-H participants across the state will show off what they’ve learned with the projects they have worked on for the last year.

In Jefferson County, the 4-H Show kicks off with the Horse Show at King City Saddle Club at 1 p.m. on July 7^th. The majority of the shows will take place over the days of the Jefferson County Fair between July 20^th and 24^th.

Ramona Girtman with the Jefferson County Extension Office says these kids are showing what the future of Jefferson County looks like right now.
