JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 40-year-old Mayfield, Kentucky man has been sentenced in Jefferson County court to 30 years in prison after he filed an open plea of guilty earlier this year to three of eight counts of child pornography.

Ray Crawford was arrested in February after an investigation by detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office secured a search warrant at 914 Ellis Drive apartment 4H in Mt. Vernon, where evidence was recovered.

Crawford was identified as the offender and arrested. The Jefferson County State’s Attorney’s Office ultimately charged Crawford with eight Class X felony charges of possessing child pornography.
