MARION — Officials with the Rides Mass Transit District say the new RMTD park-and-ride terminal, located across from Casey’s General Store on Main Street in Marion, is getting closer to its opening day.

Jeffery Drake, public relations and marketing coordinator with RMTD, says they are hoping to have a soft opening soon and schedule a grand opening not too long after that.

Drake says most of the items for the facility have been taken care of, so they are close to opening. An opening date will be announced as soon as everything is ready to go.
