MARION COUNTY — Bail has been set at $25,000 a piece for two men charged in Marion County Court in connection with a burglary in the Iuka area.

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 32-year-old Beau Morton, of Kell, and 34-year-old Scott Miller, Alma, were arrested Tuesday night in connection with a burglary between February 1st and March 8th at a dwelling and farm on Banister Road in Iuka.

Sheriff’s deputies reportedly recovered a large amount of cash, collectible coins, and other items reported as stolen. The estimated value of the items is between $20,000 to $50,000.

Both men were formally charged Wednesday with Class 1 felony residential burglary and Class 3 felony theft.

They’re next scheduled to appear in court September 3 for preliminary hearings and first appearances with their court appointed attorneys.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate this break-in and others.
