SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — Former Franklin County State’s Attorney Evan Owens has been sworn in as a Judge in the 2nd Judicial Circuit. Owens was administered the oath of office by Chief Judge Tom Tedeschi.

Judge Owens’ family, friends, colleagues and several local officials were in attendance. The judges in attendance included Chief Judge Tom Tedeschi, Judge Jerry Crisel, Judge Jo Beth Weber, Judge Evan Owens, Judge Eric Dirnbeck, Judge Barry Vaughan, Judge Melissa Morgan, Judge Paul Lamar and Justice David Overstreet.
