BENTON, IL — The Benton City Council will discuss and possibly move forward with the licensing and zoning for the sale and distribution of cannabis when it meets tonight at 6 at City Hall.

The council will also discuss with possible action amending the resolution for the sewer surcharge, a resolution amending the transfer and restriction of funds to the wastewater treatment plant, a resolution restricting funds for the wastewater treatment plant debt reduction and a resolution restricting funds for wastewater infrastructure.

The meeting is open to the public.
