HAMILTON COUNTY — A McLeansboro man was sentenced Thursday in Hamilton County Court after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle.

Hamilton County State’s Attorney Justin Hood says Keith E. Redmon was sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and will serve another two years of mandatory supervised release after his release from custody. He will serve concurrent time with Johnson County for theft – a Class 3 felony.

The stolen vehicle case originated in Johnson County when Redmon stole a 2002 Ford F-150 from a victim’s home and later crashed it in Hamilton County where he was arrested by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department.
