MCLEANSBORO — The McLeansboro City Council approved an ordinance at Tuesday’s special meeting to authorize the issuance of up to $3 million in waterworks and sewage system revenue bonds for the purpose of defraying the cost of acquiring, constructing, improving and extending waterworks and sewage, facilities and related matters.
The council also approved a gas tap for E.W. Siedler at 7777 State Route 14 in McLeansboro.
In other business, Mayor Dick Deitz express appreciation to Ten Mile Baptist Church for their work clearing the viaduct over Illinois 14 last Saturday. There was also discussion on the remodeling project proposed for City Hall. No action was taken. The council was also given an inventory on the street department’s snow removal equipment.
