HERRIN, IL — A Herrin man was arrested in Carterville Sunday by agents with the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group following a narcotics investigation.
According to a press release from the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group, 47-year-old Maximillian Johnson was taken into custody after he was found to be in possession of 25 grams of heroin and a .380 firearm.
SIEG agents were assisted by the Herrin Police Department, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police District 13 Patrol during the incident.
Johnson was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
