CENTRALIA, IL — Centralia police investigating items stolen from Walmart have arrested an 18-year-old Centralia man in connection with the recent armed robbery on South Pine of two juveniles for their cell phones.

Matthew Polk of One Hope United has been charged in Clinton County Court with Class X felony armed robbery for allegedly taking the iPhones from the juveniles on the 100 block of South Pine in Centralia on November 8th while armed with a firearm or similar device.

Two other juveniles had already been arrested and charged with armed robbery after one posted a video online bragging about the robbery. Both juveniles remain in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center pending further action in Marion County Court.

Polk is currently being held on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.
