MT. VERNON — Another business has filed paperwork for a conditional use permit to sell cannabis in the city of Mt. Vernon.

SB IL, LLC out of Bridgeview has filed the zoning application for the conditional use at 1000 Main Street in downtown Mt. Vernon.

It is the second conditional use permit sought for cannabis sales in Mt. Vernon. In late September, KPG of Harrisburg, LLC filed an application for a conditional use permit for a potential business to be located just off the interstate on S. 45th St.

The city’s zoning board will take up the application at their next planning and zoning meeting on December 9th.
