MARION, IL — Three people were recently sentenced for various crimes in Williamson County.
Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says 36-year-old Brandon T. Robinson, of Toledo, Illinois, pled guilty Friday to burglary – a Class 2 felony – and was sentenced to four years in state prison.
Zanotti says on May 6 of this year, Robinson entered a house trailer with the intent to commit a theft at Pyramid Acres, which is located at the Lake of Egypt south of Marion. The investigation was handled by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
Robinson has a criminal history out of Cumberland, Jasper and Coles counties, with prior convictions for theft, criminal trespass, and battery.
Robinson was ordered to pay restitution to the victim and will serve two years of mandatory supervised release following his release from prison.

Thirty-one-year-old Lance L. Baldwin of Herrin pled guilty Thursday to possession of methamphetamine – a Class 3 felony and was sentenced to two years in state prison.
Baldwin was arrested following being found in possession of meth after a traffic stop in Herrin on July 27 of this year. The Herrin Police Department’s K9 was able to find the meth on him during the stop.
Baldwin will serve one year of mandatory supervised release following his release from prison.

Thirty-seven-year-old Ashley M. Fischer of Benton pleaded guilty earlier this month to aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to three years in state prison.
Fischer was cited with the DUI by a Johnston City police officer on August 9, 2018, following reports of possible drunk driving. This charge was Fischer’s fourth DUI violation.
Fischer will serve two years of mandatory supervised release following her release from prison.
