METROPOLIS — IDOT says a lane closure will begin Monday, Dec. 9 on the I-24 Ohio River Bridge near Metropolis so crews can perform maintenance work on the bridge, weather permitting.

The closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. until Thursday, Dec. 12.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the construction site as quickly as possible.
