MCLEANSBORO — The McLeansboro City Council will look at several items including sidewalk improvements and ADA compliance, the tax levy and prohibiting cannabis sales in the city when it meets tomorrow night at 6 at City Hall.

According to the meeting’s agenda, the council is set to discuss with possible action executing an agreement for management and other administrative services by and between the city and the Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission regarding the grant for sidewalk improvements and ADA compliance. Then it will discuss and possibly act on executing an agreement for engineering services with Shawnee Engineering regarding the grant for sidewalk improvements and ADA compliance.

In other business, the council will discuss and may act on passing an ordinance making the annual tax levy for the city for the fiscal year starting May 1, 2019 and ending April 30, 2020, renovation plans for City Hall, establish an ordinance prohibiting the sale of recreational use of cannabis in the city limits, approve the regular meetings for next year’s city council meetings, purchasing software upgrades for the volunteer fire department, and the formula for clothing allowances and/or fire call reimbursements for the volunteer fire department.
