SALINE COUNTY — While some farmers are looking at summer planting, Mother Nature had other ideas the past week with the recent cold snap. But that is not holding area farmers back.
Saline / Gallatin County Farm Bureau manager Marisa Davis says the cold affects the winter wheat already in the ground, and might delay the crop coming for the summer.
Moisture-wise, Davis says the levels fluctuate across the area. Some parts of the county need a little more time to dry up while other parts are starting to get too dry.
