MT. VERNON, IL — The city of Mt. Vernon announced Monday that residents who are able to, can take their yard waste to the transfer station located at 1106 Rackaway between 8 am and 3 pm for disposal.

A copy of your water bill will need to be presented at the scale house. Yard waste still needs to be bagged and/or bundled.

This is only a temporary solution until Republic Services is able to resume curbside pickup.
