HAMILTON COUNTY — The Hamilton County Board passed a resolution seeking reimbursement for COVID-19 related expenses through the Local CURE program at their meeting on Tuesday night.
The resolution seeks about $106,000 in reimbursements for expenses due to COVID-19 such as hazard pay, public and employee protection, department remote capability, and virtual county meeting capability and OMA compliance.
The resolution was passed unanimously.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the board passed an intergovernmental agreement to transfer the former Hamilton County Highway Department Building to McLeansboro Township for $40,000. That was also passed unanimously.
The board also discussed the possibility of a new county website, a new animal control service, and the election judge list for the 2020-2022 term but no actions were taken on these items.
The board will meet again Tuesday, September 15th at 6 p.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse.
