ELDORADO — The Saline Valley Conservancy District has received just over $420,000 in grant money from the state for equipment upgrades. Governor J.B. Pritzker’s Office made the announcement on Wednesday.

The conservancy district’s Chief Financial Officer Alison Powles says this money helps stretch local tax dollars to upgrade aging equipment.

The money will go towards upgrades to a lime slaker silo that is around 30 years old.
