MARION, IL — A Williamson County woman is facing murder charges in connection to the death of an 11-year-old girl. According to a release from the Williamson Co. State’s Attorney’s Office, 29-year-old Julie Bevely has been arrested and is set to appear in court tomorrow. She is accused of murdering 11-year-old Jade Beasley on Saturday, December 5th.

The release states that Bevely made the initial 911 call to their home on Songbird Lane, saying that she had left Jade home alone for a brief time and saw a man in dark colored clothing fleeing from the home when she arrived. The investigation into the murder has proven this to be false.

Bevely is facing three counts of first degree murder.

A funeral service for Jade is also being held on Friday at the First Baptist Church in Marion.
