CENTRAL CITY, IL — The Village of Central City again took no action following a second special meeting to address the results of a recent investigation into reports of alleged employee misconduct.
The Village Board immediately went in to executive session Wednesday to discuss the personnel issue and possible discipline of the individual but no action was taken. While no official statements have been released regarding the issue or the identity of the employee, Former City Clerk Cammi Starr has said publicly that she worked at village hall for ten years and had never been harassed or felt uncomfortable. Her statement seems to indicate the investigation and possible discipline are the result of a harassment complaint against the yet unnamed employee.
It’s likely a third special meeting will be called on the matter in the coming days.
