Michael Wayne McKenzie, 66, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away September 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born December 12, 1955 in Fairfield, Illinois to the late James and Phyllis (Keener) McKenzie.

Michael married Becky “Becko” (Graham) McKenzie on April 2, 2014. In addition to his beloved wife of eight years, Michael is survived by his daughters, Lori McKenzie and Laci McKenzie; stepdaughter, Dalyn Carbajal and husband, Beto; grandchildren, Racey McKenzie and Trey McKenzie; step-granddaughter, Lozen Carbajal; brother, Bobby McKenzie and wife, Dana; siblings-in-law, Tara McKenzie, Candy Heob, and David Graham; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie McKenzie.  Michael retired from Continental Tire in Mount Vernon. He was an accomplished weight lifter and won several trophies and awards. Michael loved going on vacations to Florida and side by side adventures. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Michael will be deeply missed.
