CENTRALIA — Centralia police arrested a 33-year-old Centralia man Monday afternoon after he reportedly resisted arrest and struck a police officer.

According to police, around 3:15 p.m. Monday, they received reports of a four-wheeler driving recklessly in the 1400 block of Frazier Ave in Centralia.

Officers arrived on the scene and noticed a four-wheeler parked next to the Frazier Manor Apartments with a male subject standing next to the four-wheeler.

A witness identified Alan Hirsch as the person who had been driving the four-wheeler recklessly.

Hirsch was wanted for a pending Aggravated Domestic Battery case that reportedly occurred last week against a pregnant female.

Officers attempted to take Hirsch into custody but say he resisted being arrested and struck a Centralia Police Sergeant in the head with a closed fist. The Centralia Police Sergeant had a golf ball-sized lump on his forehead where he was struck by Hirsch but refused medical treatment at this time.

Police report Hirsch was tased with no effect and was taken to the ground, handcuffed, and transported directly to the Marion County Jail on charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, and criminal damage to state-supported property.
