MARION COUNTY — Earlier today we brought you a story about back-to-back fires fought this weekend in Marion County.

Following the third fire northeast of Sandoval, which was the second fire in a row firefighters from Huey-Ferrin-Boulder had responded to, they found themselves providing a different kind of public service.

According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, while returning to their station, the fire firefighters came across a gravity wagon stuck in the middle of the roadway due to a flat tire.

The firefighters not only parked their truck behind the wagon to alert other motorists, they also used their tools and got out of the truck to help the farmer fix their tire.
