SALEM — Salem police, in conjunction with their partners in the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task force have made another arrest in their effort to curb drug usage and violence in the area.

According to Salem Police Chief Kyle Ambuehl, 20-year-old Violet Fox, of Salem, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a Class 2 felony charge for delivery of methamphetamine.

Her arrest was the result of a Task Force investigation over several months into the illicit sale of meth.

Fox was transported to the Marion County Jail to await the formal filing of charges and the setting of bond.

SEIDTF is comprised of the Salem Police Department, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, the Robinson Police Department, the Mount Carmel Police Department and the Illinois State Police.
